The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a global trade organization representing around 350 airlines in over 120 countries, accounting for more than 80% of the world's air traffic. Among its bodies, the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) is responsible for managing aviation fuel quality. IFQP regularly assigns top experts to assess aviation fuel suppliers that currently provide services to IATA member airlines. These evaluations aim to ensure the continued application of the highest standards in quality and safety across fuel operation, maintenance, and supply processes.

On May 21, 2025, the Middle Regional branch of Skypec had the honor of welcoming Mr. Ahmad Mukhlis – an expert from the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) – who conducted a periodic assessment at the branch. The assessment session was chaired by Mr. Nguyễn Minh Ánh, representing the Branch’s Management Board, along with representatives from relevant departments.
The assessment took place at the Aviation Fuel Depot – Da Nang International Airport, aiming to examine the branch’s compliance with international standards for safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the entire aviation fuel supply process.

Mr. Ahmad Mukhlis conducted a comprehensive inspection and assessment of the receiving and dispensing procedures at the loading/unloading racks, the tank system, pipeline network, tank farm equipment (filters, pumps, fire protection systems, etc.), as well as the fuel sampling and quality control procedures.

Mr. Ahmad Mukhlis assessed the fuel sampling and quality control procedures at the storage tanks.

The technical condition of the vehicles, along with the maintenance and servicing of specialized equipment and systems on the refueling trucks, were thoroughly assessed. The evaluation focused on the extent to which these vehicles meet international standards for operational safety and technical reliability.

The documentation storage and control system was thoroughly reviewed.

At the conclusion of the assessment, Mr. Ahmad Mukhlis concluded that the quality and safety management system of the Middle Regional branch of Skypec is being diligently maintained, with all documentation properly archived. No findings or recommendations were made for the branch. He also highly praised the professionalism and enthusiastic hospitality demonstrated throughout the evaluation process.
