"SKYPEC'S FINAL TECHNICAL CONTEST FOR THE YEAR 2022" AND AWARD CEREMONY FOR BEST TECHNICIANS

     On 17th and 18th October 2022, the "SKYPEC's final technical contest for the year 2022" took place with participation by 33 contestants who had previously won high prizes at preliminary contests. The contestants were technicians working on various job assignments including instrument repair, fuel tank repair, fuel safekeeping, and fuel test.

     Present at the Final Contest were SKYPEC Deputy General Director Mr. Nguyen Van Luan who acted as Head of the Organising Committee of the final contest and other members of the committee; the Board of Examination of the final contest; representatives of different units of SKYPEC; and 33 contestants from 4 units which were SKYPEC regional branches and from different fuel farms under the Department of Supply and Operation.    
     Guests who were invited to the final contest were Mr. Le Xuan Duong, Vietnam Airlines' Deputy Director of Quality Assurance, Mr. Nguyen Đuc Thai, a specialist at the Flight Safety Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, Deputy Professor and Doctor Đam Hoang Phuc of Hanoi Polytechnic University, Mr. Pham Trung Dung, Deputy Director of the Technical Department of Vietnam Airlines. The above guests were members of the Board of Examination for 4 subjects of the final contest.

     Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Final Contest, Mr. Hoang Tran Thiep, SKYPEC Technical Manager stressed: "The Final Contest is organized with a view to contributing to the enhancement of the technicians' profession, knowledge, and skills and it is also an opportunity for them to contact, to learn and to exchange experiences each another in using instruments and devices so as to heighten their labor productivity. Moreover, the Final Contest also serves as a playground and bridge connecting all our company’s technicians working throughout the country. The results of the Final Contest will help glorify good and model technicians and extend the cultural beautiful style of the technicians of SKYPEC.

     Having gone through enthusiastic preliminary tests at various units of SKYPEC and outdone nearly 200 contestants from the staffs of the fuel farms under the Department of Supply and Operation and from 3 regional branches, the 33 best contestants are now participating in the Final Contest for the highest prizes of the "SKYPEC's Final Technical Contest for the year 2022".

Contestants take the theoretical examination in Vietnamese and English via E-Learning online, which includes basic and professional knowledge.

After 2 days of the enthusiastic Final Contest with urgent and impartial work of the Board of Examination, the best contestants are selected. These contestants represent those SKYPEC technicians who have high enthusiasm, love of their job, high professionalism, high devotion, and dedication to their work.

1^st prize: Luong Xuan Binh 96.49/100 from Northern Branch
2^nd prize: Chu Quoc Diep 95.78/100 from Northern Branch
3^rd prize: Hoang Trong Kim 94.26/100 from Central Branch

     At the prize awarding ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Luan Deputy General Director of SKYPEC who acts as Head of the Organising Committee of the contest highly appreciates the spirit, attitude, consciousness, and responsibility of the contestants, the members of the organizing committee, the board of examination, the secretariat, and other assistants during the contest. All contestants are very able and skillful technicians. Many have proved to be highly professional and experienced even in handling small details. This is an indication of the fact that they have been well-prepared knowledgeable and carefully selected for the contest. The final contest has been well prepared, well run, and very methodical, which would contribute to the improvement of the entire SKYPEC staff's knowledge of the important role and position of the technical field in SKYPEC operation.  
     The SKYPEC's Final Technical Contest for the year 2022 has achieved its prescribed aims and requirements. As a matter of fact, it is an extended professional activity and also a chance to practice the profession and learn practical experiences, thus creating a radical change in the results of the operation of our company's technical staff, in developing their ability and quality. The results of the contest have confirmed a positive change in the knowledge of the technical work acquired by other units in the company in general and in the role of the technicians in particular in the development of our company in the present highly competitive environment, thus contributing to the improvement of our professional refueling service in order to meet all requirements of our customers, and being the worthy leader in the air fuelling service in Vietnam.

The SKYPEC's Final Technical Contest for the year 2022 has left impressive marks and an important emphasis on the improvement of the quality of the technical work. The Contest has encouraged the technicians in their love of the job, their thirst for knowledge, in the improvement of their professional skills, and contributed to the creation of a safe working environment, and the development of favorable conditions for the exchange of experiences among different units of the company.
